Position Summary 

Provide clerical, administrative, and customer service functions for division purchase orders. Coordinate the timely preparation, submission, and return of customer submittal documents. Communicate internally on the status of customer commitments.

Essential Functions

  • Enter new orders, revise orders, and maintain other customer order data in MEPPI’s business system. Ensure all documents are maintained according to MEPPI’s record retention policy.
  • Ensure all document transmittal materials (including transmittal letters, approval drawings, instruction books, test reports and final drawings) are prepared accurately and sent to customers within schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with customers to achieve the timely return of transmittal documents.
  • Attend all production meetings, track order fulfillment issues, and communicate order status to Sales personnel.
  • Represent the Sales Department in the order turnover meetings.
  • Coordinate customer witness test meetings and prepare documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reports to partner customers detailing order status, reserved production capacity, and supply history.
  • Assist Finance with resolution of invoicing issues related to customer orders.
  • Maintain customer commitment data and monitor key production schedule milestones.


  • Business School graduate, plus a minimum of one year of office/administrative experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing parts and products and production/inventory/sales processes.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and writing skills to communicate with customers, partners, and
  • employees.
  • Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, emphasizing MS Office products and MRP/ERP systems.
