We’re Looking For A: Territory Sales Manager who will be responsible for creating and growing Dr. Marty Pet sales territory through distributors representatives and store level selling and educating.

Location: Northeast US (Remote)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage territory – Gain placement and sales of Golden Hippo pet brands into key accounts and individual stores within assigned territory (both pet and vet channels)
  • Work with and motivate distributor sales reps in territory to meet assigned sales goals
  • Educate and motivate key store personal in territory to create brand ambassadors at retail
  • Develop relationships and be main point of contact with all territory partners
  • Ensure flawless retail execution of new product launches, promotions and marketing programs
  • Be present in the territory as a brand representative
  • Gain a thorough understanding of all of Golden Hippos pet brands and stay on top of industry trends as “voice of your customer” internally

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • Thorough understanding of the pet industry and how pet distributors and retailers work
  • Knowledge of sales management in the retail channel
  • Ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships
  • Curiosity to continue to grow and learn and uncover new opportunities
  • Think strategically to maximize sales within geography
  • Self motivated and self directed with the ability to perform well with limited direction
  • Detail orientation and great follow through
  • Persistent personality
  • Ability to adapt and change as we launch new brands and products and adjust strategy and tactics
  • 3+ years selling to retailers at store level
  • 3+ years working with distributor sales reps or regional retail personnel (5+ years working  with distributor sales reps or regional retailer personnel)
  • 5+ years in the pet industry (7+ years in the pet industry, preferred)

$70,000-$85,000 plus annual bonus depending on performance
