Hartmire is currently building WooCommerce plugins. You will work with a knowledgeable and dedicated team as a WordPress Developer. The ideal candidate should have good spoken English

Roles and responsibilities

You will work with an extremely passionate & smart team of WordPress geeks.

  • Expected to maintain, upgrade & support our existing portfolio of WordPress products.
  • Communicate with end WordPress users & developer directly to understand their needs better.
  • Maintain high coding standards and practices to deliver secure, scalable, optimized, and exceptional WordPress products from start to finish.
  • Assist in the remediation, enhancement, and maintenance of existing products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Run security audits and performance reviews for products.
  • Respect timelines and communicate progress proactively. We are a remote team, so proactive communication is essential.

You should be proficient in

  • PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS & WordPress.
  • Ability to extend interfaces with ReactJS
  • Ability to do security & performance audit of the application
  • Version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience in building WordPress plugins/functionality.
  • WordPress actions/filters API.
  • WordPress Metabox API.
  • Ability to integrate 3rd party services, ex: different types of Auth, CRM, Email listing API’s, Payment gateways, etc.

Good to have

  • Experience working with WP-CLI
  • Experience working with PHPCS, SonarLint, RIPS Security Application, etc.
  • Package manager and automation tool experience. E.g., npm, Grunt & WebPack
  • Experience working with various REST APIs
  • Experience working with React.js library
  • Experience working with Node.js
  • Experience with WooCommerce, Multisite, API integrations
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks
  • Experience with modern JavaScript/Frontend development and frameworks
  • Setting up CI/CD workflows with Travis CI and GitHub
  • Knowledge of Docker and Vagrant
  • Remote working experience appreciated
